Such is the case with the new colorful book series Marty the Martian™, a fanciful journey children take to learn basic concepts when Ekadoo Publishing Group launches the initial title in the series, Marty the Martian Learns ABC, August 16, 2005 from Ekadoo Publishing Group.

 

Created by parents, Ekadoo designs its books to inspire children’s curiosity for reading and learning with the goal of enhancing a child’s desire to learn and explore by introducing a fun, attractive characters, exclusive illustrations and very useful, yet easy to comprehend reading material.

The 24-page Marty the Martian Learns ABC board book will have children embarking on this enjoyable and educational voyage again and again and reading on their own in no time.

 

Whimsically written by Valerie Laud with charming illustrations by Dimitry Chaley, each letter is diligently taught through a series of words and objects beginning with each and accompanied by a related picture:

• A -- An Astronaut, Marty … Landed on an apple tree …
  An airplane above made a loud “welcome” buzz.

• D – It was getting dark when Marty met a dog and a duck.

• Q – A quiet scarecrow on a stick wasn’t quite scary and, of course, wasn’t quick!

 

Valerie Laud writes all the text for the Marty the Martian™ series. She was a free-lance writer for many years in Russia and credits her mother, a linguistics professor, for her love of the written word.

 

Illustrator Dimitry Chaley, who lives in Minsk, Belarus, is a graduate of the Minsk School of Arts and The Belarus State Academy of the Arts. He has illustrated numerous other children’s books, designed toys and other children-related materials, and also works in the commercial advertising.

 

Both are working on "The Golden Rule!” and "What Do I Want to Be?” the next titles in Marty theMartian™ book series to be spring 2006.
